Yoga Realizations :: Sweet & Sweaty Chakra Dust Blasting

Happy, Soulful 2013 with lots of Magical Adventures and Exciting Discoveries!!

Here's me and Daniel, on our way to a New Year's party here in Vegas (where the first pic was taken) to dance the night and year away! And below is a beautiful DIY resolution/vision/dream jar for 2013 by darling Rebekah from Australia! Hard to argue with 'clearheadedness'. L-O-V-E it. It got me thinking too, more about that later. But if you made/will make a jar too, let me see it!! :)

Now. Yoga. Daniel and I both want to exercise more this year and so we looked up a studio closest to us and checked it out yesterday, Bikram Yoga Summerlin. Funnily enough we didn't realize it was hot yoga, meaning that the studio was very humid and heated up to 105F/40C. After the first 10 minutes I was dizzy and nauseous and had to soon sit down and gather my soggy self while drinking water with trembling hands. I wasn't sure I could stay for the whole 90min class. But we pushed through it and when it was all over I felt great.

A postcard I made :)
Last night as I was going to sleep and closed my eyes, I had something going on in my head that hadn't happened for a loooong time: various visions, sights, and just an overall psychic, astral and mystical atmosphere and entrance for my mind. I realized it was the yoga that blasted off some dust from my chakras and connected me with some precious third eye action. I'm not that much into psychic practice etc. but this tells me that I have some higher channels letting more light and ideas and influence through in my life now -- which is awesome!! Already after one yoga session we made so many fabulous, healthy, conscious life changing decisions with Daniel.

It's amazing what a little yoga can do. A snowball effect of healthiness, clearheadedness (!) and better living, for body and spirit, really, it is! We felt so good after the yoga that we started eating healthier (and we already eat pretty healthy!). We try to drink now at least 3 liters of water a day. We started waking up really early, and we get much more accomplished in a day than before. And it's just been two days! :) Yes, we went again this morning and it was a lot easier and time went by quickly. Turns out I'm more flexible than I thought (or maybe it's just the "weather" in the studio that does it). Yay!

Random lovely yoga pic I found :)
At today's practice while just laying down on my back between the asanas, I noticed how enjoyable breathing was. Yoga calms you down, even if it's hard and sweaty and resembles a bootcamp in a sauna. Despite flinging your limbs here and there and pointing and stretching and pulling and twisting, you find yourself in a very still place inside. As I laid there, breathing, I couldn't wait for the exhale to end so I could inhale again. That was quite hilarious. I never had that experience before.

That makes me see that when each moment is stripped down of its layers created by the mind, you can be in touch with a really amazing inner peace. Then even the simplest thing of breathing (which you normally don't pay any attention to at all) becomes super enjoyable and exciting. And that I think is the reality and a type of clearheadedness I'd love to nurture and increase and focus on and learn from this year, starting from...this moment! <3

I need a yoga mat, where can I find this one? :)
Hey, unless you're already doing it, why not start taking yoga classes? No, REALLY? It might immediately blast your life to wildly delightful dimensions! As it did to me.
